Un touriste réunionnais de 50 ans s’est fait volé à Pereybère une pochette qui contenant son telephone mobile. En voyant le voleur prendre la pochette et criant du lagon, il a pu avertir deux policiers de poste de police de Trou Fanfaron qui ont mis le collet sur un gardien agé de 62 ans, qui été mis sous les verrous.

1. OB 2614/2012 Grand Bay Police – Larceny (Tourist)
(accused arrested)
On 18.05.2012 at 1600 hrs, Mr R, 50 yrs, tourist from Reunion Island, Pereybere reported that on same day at about 1300 hrs, he left his pouch containing a mobile phone on a bench at Pereybere public beach and went swimming. Whilst he was in the sea, he noticed an unknown man bolting with the said pouch. Upon his hue and cry, Police Officers, posted to Fanfaron Police, who was off duty managed to arrest the accused, one M, 62 yrs, watchman, residing at Vallée des Pretres. The suspect is detained.
2. Grand Bay Police – Larceny Breaking
On 18.05.2012 at 1705 hrs, Mr. V, 35 yrs, Director, residing at Cent Gaulettes, Mahebourg reported that between 14.05.2012 and 18.05.2012, his unoccupied house situated at Cap Malheureux was broken into. Several electrical appliances worth about Rs. 40,000/- have been stolen.

3. Line Barracks Police – Larceny Breaking
On 18.05.2012 at 1540 hrs, Mr R, 58 yrs, driver, residing at Vacoas reported that earlier at about 1000 hrs whilst visiting his house which is unoccupied since one year at Les Salines he noticed that a metal window and the burglar proof were broken into. Several electronic apparatus, clothing, a wall clock, three gas cylinders and kitchen utensils all worth about Rs 300,000/- were stolen.

4. Blue Bay Police – Larceny from Car
On 18.05.2012 at 0830 hrs, Mr. K, 28 yrs, Director, residing at Pointe D’Esny reported that during the night of 17.05.12 to 18.05.12, his P/car, which was parked in his yard was broken into and a laptop and two sunglasses, all worth about Rs. 75,000/- which he had left therein have been stolen.
5. Plaine Magnien Police – Larceny
On 18.05.2012 at 1820 hrs, Miss Marie J, 32 yrs, Manager at PO Co. Ltd, reported that between 16.05.12 and 18.0512, one solar panel with its batteries worth about Rs. 200,000/- which were affixed on a billboard along New trunk Road, Mare d’Albert, have been stolen.
6. Old Grand Port Police – Fire in House
On 18.05.2012 at 1515 hrs, Mrs. M 74 yrs, residing at Old Grand Port reported that at about 1345 hrs, fire broke out in her 5 roomed house made of corrugated iron sheets and wood and damaged it completely. Value damaged unknown. Origin of the fire is being established.

2. (i) S, 27 yrs, mason and (ii) M, 29 yrs, bus conductor, both residing at Surinam for having during the night of 07.05.2012, committed a theft in a supermarket of Mr H, situated at Surinam. (Souillac Police).
3. (i) G, 59 yrs, no calling, of no fixed abode, (ii) A, 26 yrs, painter, residing at Les Salines, (iii) C, 44 yrs and (iv) V, 43 yrs, both cabinet maker and residing at Les Salines for the case of murder of Mrs. Marie Murielle Ducray committed on 16.05.12. (Beau Bassin Police).
4. P, 28 yrs, labourer, residing at Plaine des Roches and V, 34 yrs, woodcutter, residing at Roche Noires for having stolen a drilling machine to the prejudice of Mrs. Mr. K, 72 yrs, residing at Trebuchet. (R.du Rempart Police)
5. K, 47 yrs, no calling, residing at Chamouny for larceny (Chemin Grenier Police).
